Native American Heritage Month Outings
The Office of Multicultural Affairs is honoring Native American Heritage Month by hosting two cultural outings. Our first outing will be on November 18th for a special screening of Unseen Tears, a documentary focusing on the Thomas Indian School and the Mohwak Institute - Native American boarding schools in Western New York, which is showing at the Maysles Institute in Harlem, NY (4pm). Our second outing will be on November 20th to the National Museum of the American Indian in Manhattan for a screening of Eye on Oaxaca-documentaries exploring the indigenous way of life of the Oaxaca (3pm). We will be departing from either Rose Hill/Lincoln Center campus and traveling as a group to the locations via public transportation. Please join us as we honor, celebrate and learn about the contributions of the Native American and indigenous communities to our city and our country. We hope that you can join us!
