A core component of The Nika Project is to repurpose technology that is currently not being used and "plant the seed" to a new generation or culture of learners to a different way of learning. We depend on the donation of used equipment in order to bring this level of learning to other special education communities around the world. As we also work with local projects in the bay area, we are accepting donations of computer laptops and possible other tech tools.
We accept any mobile technology tools - from iOS (our preferred platform) to Android and other tablets. Our only requirement is that the device is in working order. We cannot repair equipment that is not functioning. However, we do accept cracked or damaged screens. Also, If you have any power chargers, please include them! All equipment needs to be cleanly erased back to factory defaults before being donated as we often cannot do that without personal password information.
All donations to the Nika Project are 100% tax deductible and go directly to the project. Know that your generous donation is helping a child or adult in the US or around the world sometimes experience technology for the first time! We want to make sure to thank you and send you a donation letter so please fill out the form below. If you are in the San Francisco Bay Area, we are happy to pick up the equipment. If you are outside the Bay Area, we can also accept donations to the following address:
