MEMBERSHIP APPLICATION

The South Huntsville Main Business Association is a 501(c)(6) organization devoted to supporting, promoting, and advocating for South Huntsville businesses. Together, we are creating a vibrant South Huntsville. 

The South Huntsville Main Business Association’s District Boundaries are: 

North: The South borders of Golf Road projected east to Whitesburg Drive and Four Mile Post Road from Bailey Cove to Whitesburg Drive.

East: Bailey Cove Road, and the environs within 1/8 mile to its East.

South: The Northern shore of Ditto Landing Marina.

West: The Eastern border of Redstone Arsenal.

SHMBA Bylaws Related to Membership:

ARTICLE IV Dues and Finances; Section 1. Dues.

A. Dues shall be established annually by the board for both primary members and affiliate
members. For new members the amount payable shall be prorated on a quarterly basis.
B. Dues Payment. Annual dues are payable when a member joins and shall be due and
payable to the SHBA by January 1st of each calendar year thereafter. Membership shall be delinquent if dues are not paid by February 1st and forfeited if dues are not paid by March 1st. Dues payments are not refundable.
C. Membership Year. The membership year shall be January 1st through December 31st.
D. Amendment of Dues. Dues may be amended by a two-thirds (2/3) vote of the
membership in attendance at a regular membership meeting.

SHBA Membership Dues Structure: 

  • A BUSINESS MEMBER is an independent business, located within the SHMBA boundaries, with more than 5 FTE (or equivalent). BUSINESS MEMBERS must have applied for membership and for the current calendar year have paid dues to the SHMBA. A BUSINESS MEMBER has SHMBA voting rights. Dues are $250 for one year.

  • An ENTREPRENEUR MEMBER is an independent business, located within the SHMBA boundaries, with less than 5 FTE employees (or equivalent) OR has been open for business for less than 3 years. ENTREPRENEUR MEMBERS must have applied for membership and for the current calendar year have paid dues to the SHMBA. An ENTREPRENEUR has full voting rights. Dues are $150 for one year.

  • An AFFILIATE MEMBER is an individual, business, or other organization that is not located within the SHMBA boundaries, but has business interests within the SHMBA boundaries, has applied for Affiliate membership, and for the current calendar year has paid Affiliate Member dues to the SHMBA. An Affiliate Member does not have SHMBA voting rights. Dues are $250 for one year.

Membership Dues Payment:

Once the application is received we will send a QuickBooks invoice that can be paid online or by check.  

  • QuickBooks online invoicing. 

  • Mail check to South Huntsville Main Business Association, 600 Boulevard South, Suite 104, Huntsville, Alabama 35802.

  • Hand deliver check at Monthly SHMBA Membership Meeting.
