This hike will consist of a loop which is about 12.5 miles. The terrain is steep, overgrown, and requires numerous river crossings. The Conasauga River is a clear running and tumbling southern Appalachian stream that is both beautiful and rugged. Mass will be by the river at a trail junction called Bray Field on Sunday morning. Last year students built an altar from river boulders, and I am excited to try to locate the same spot for this year. We will also pray a group Rosary Saturday night. Wading and swimming may be limited due to the time of year, but last year we had surprisingly warm weather after we were rained on while setting up camp! Let’s have an adventure in the woods.
