2019 NCAE Terry Sanford Award for Creativity and Innovation in Teaching or Administration
The NCAE Terry Sanford Award was created in 1966 to honor North Carolina’s first Education Governor. Nominees can be self-nominated or nominated by other; all nominees must complete the full submission based on the Criteria and Guidelines. Deadline for application submission is January 31, 2019 using the Google form.

Share an expository essay written by the applicant of the project, demonstrating innovation. The essay must not exceed 3 double-spaced typed pages, using 12 pt. Times-New Roman font. The essay must include an overall presentation that is easy to read, standard grammar and conventions, and show that the project is well thought out, creative, and innovative. *

The Project, Unit or items you are sharing that demonstrate innovation. Content – must be well organized, descriptive, relevant and must demonstrate global awareness, active leadership in the school community, and critical thinking. Evidence – may include, but is not limited to: student work, photographs, brochures created by the applicant and/or students, newspaper coverage of the project, website, blogs, digital media (i.e. DVD, USB flash drive, CD, etc.) up to five minutes giving an overview of the project, student reflections, or other types of supporting documentation. *
