We are looking for startups who are applying technology to solve environmental and climate related problems including green food systems, green energy, green cities, green transport and logistics, green cleaning, green climate adaptation, green irrigation and water conservation, green agriculture, and anything else that uses technology to protect the environment.

We are looking for startups with a prototype developed ready to launch, or already in business looking to scale or improve their business strategy.  

If selected, your startup will join an exciting, even life-changing, program in which you will work alongside other startups in identifying your customers, developing a branding and marketing strategy, focusing on your value proposition, testing your product or prototype, refining your go-to-market strategy, developing your pricing and customer acquisition strategy, getting operation-ready, developing your financial strategy and business plan, aligning your partners, and pitching to potential investors.  And we also challenge you to develop critical life skills, such as facing rejection, hustling, personal branding, professionalism, language and communication, team skills and emotional intelligence, operational excellence, ethics, and MUCH MORE!  

We look for EXCEPTIONAL, INNOVATIVE, SCALABLE, and TRANSFORMATIONAL business ideas, and when you join blueMoon, you will be benefit from an award-winning, globally recognized, incubation program where you will have access to world-class training, as well as the opportunity to network with high-level global business leaders, mentors, even heads of state! And you join the famous blueMoon Tribe, which is the alumni network of over 80 startups that have gone through previous batches.

blueMoon’s KiremtBatch21 program will start on May 1, 2021 for an intensive period of 3.5 months, up to end August 2021 (with 2 days per week required attendance on-site), followed by post-incubation support for an additional 9 months, with 12 months of support, that includes working space, business services, facilitation to government offices, and access to strategic and angel investors.  

Requirements

Must have a prototype or product already in business!
Startup must be based in Ethiopia!
Business idea must be innovative, scalable, and focused on green technology!

Must have a team of at least 2 founders who can BOTH attend incubation program activities 2 days/week!
Must have majority of founders below age 30!
Must be comfortable working and pitching in English!
Must be willing to allocate 10% shares to blueMoon in return for incubation.
Founders in the program must have majority of shares of the company.

Preference is given to teams with female participation!
