Berkeley High BSEP Site Committee
Thank you for your interest in serving on the BSEP Site Committee. This committee develops the annual spending budget for Berkeley High’s share of our local Berkeley Schools Excellence Program (BSEP/Measure A) property tax revenues, nearly $700,000. In the fall, the BSEP Committee visits and evaluates the programs funded the previous year, and in the spring, the committee reviews new projects and proposals.

The BSEP Committee meets on Mondays, once or twice a month during the school year, from 4:30-6:00 p.m. The Committee is comprised of 15 members, with equal numbers of parents/guardians, students, and school staff.  BSEP Committee meetings are open to the public, and welcome input from the BHS community.

Would you be interested in serving on the District BSEP Planning and Oversight (P&O) Committee?
The P&O Committee meets twice a month on Tuesday evenings to review plans and budgets for the BSEP expenditures for district libraries, 4th-8th grade music program, class size reduction, technology, professional development, program evaluation, public information, translation, and parent outreach. You can serve on the P&O Committee and the SGC simultaneously, or just serve on one or the other.
