Declaration of responsibility and rules for Molde Climbing Center:

All climbing, bouldering and staying in and near the bouldering walls and climbing walls is at your own risk.

General rules:

Small children must be accompanied by an adult and supervised at all times.

Exceptions apply to children who participate in Romsdal Tindegruppe (RTG) groups where Molde Klatresenter has taken over responsibility.

There is no lower or upper age limit for using the centre, but children under 16 must have a declaration of responsibility form signed by an adult (over 18), who is also responsible for the child following the rules.

The age limit for the fitness center is 14 years. Children between the ages of 11 and 14 can train with a responsible adult present.

Children and young people in RTG groups can use the training room together with an instructor or other qualified person. You must ensure that you have accident insurance that covers climbing.

Children up to the age of 13 who are members of RTG have insurance. The minimum clothing for climbing is shorts and a singlet.

Violation of the rules may lead to expulsion or other disciplinary measures.

Use of the climbing and bouldering walls under the influence of alcohol, drugs or other intoxicants is strictly prohibited.
This includes sedative or sedating medications that affect attention.

Guidelines for climbing on ladders and top ropes:

Top rope card is required to belay on top rope. Steep card is required to belay on led and also gives access to top rope.

Instructions from Molde Climbing Centre's staff must always be followed. If in doubt about the use of facilities or equipment, ask for guidance.
Report to the staff in the event of security deficiencies or inappropriate security from others.

When top roping in overhanging walls, all short loops must be clipped into the climber's side of the rope each time the route is climbed.

Mate check and good communication are required when belaying.

The staff can redirect you to bouldering or confiscate the Top Ropes Card/Steep Card in the event of improper protection.

Guidelines for using Autobelay:

Before using Autobelay for the first time, contact the staff for training.

Carry out a buddy check before climbing. Recommended climber weight: 11.5 to 140kg Always carry out a descent test at a low height (2-3 metres) before you start climbing.

Climbers should not climb over the Autobelay device. Ensure that the webbing is not twisted and that there is no slack between the climber and the Autobelay.
Report to the staff if you have any doubts about the use of the system or notice any errors.

Molde Klatresenter has camera surveillance in the climbing areas, and this follows the GDPR guidelines for privacy.
