K-1st DAS After-School Club Sign-Up
Clubs begin immediately after dismissal and last until 3:15pm. There is a 20 student max capacity per club that is why we are asking that you give a second option in case your first choice has already reached max capacity. Clubs will NOT be available for Wednesdays or Fridays. * Please only submit one form per child. If more than one form is submitted, DAS will select clubs for student. CLUB REGISTRATION CLOSES ON AUGUST 14, 2017

Club Descriptions:

MONDAYS
Intramural Club-Mr. Henrie
This club will give students an opportunity to further their development of health and fitness concepts and skill development that they learn during their PE class. Students will participate in activities revolving around the themes of hand-eye-coordination, team building sports, and fitness concepts.

Move to the Groove-Mrs. Healthscott
Students will participate in guided dances from the GoNoodle website. Some dances will include sight word practice while others promote healthy exercises!

Computer Club-Ms. McNally
Students will learn to use computers and play educational math, science, and reading games.

Lego Club-Ms. Wester
Students will explore and build with Legos. They will also develop skills using teamwork, communication, and sharing.
*There is a one time $50.00 sign-up fee for this club. Turn-in payments to the front office.

Karate Kid Club- Ms. Zia
Students will be introduced to Martial Arts that will help to encourage discipline, patience, body control and respect. Students will be participating in small groups or partner practice.


TUESDAYS
Artsy Crafters Club-Mrs. Cassidy
Students will love this club where they can express their creativity. There will be crafts, painting, homemade play-dough and more!

Animal Discovery Club- Ms. Giaimo
Students will learn about a new animal each week and their habitats; ranging from ocean animals, rain forest animals, flamingos, bears, and more!

Space Club- Mrs. Sherk
Students will participate in projects, activities, and crafts after learning about the various planets.

Outdoor Math Games- Mrs. Heathscott
Students will participate in a variety of math games outside while being active. Some ideas include; addition tag, subtraction bowling, what time is it? etc.

Strategy Games and Puzzles- Ms. McNally
Students will take part in games and activities that are geared towards using strategies and teamwork. A few examples include: building the highest tower out of cups, checkers, chess, puzzles and more.

Nature Club-Ms. Wester
Students will be discovering the world around them through hands-on and visual nature based activities.

Lego Club- Ms. Zia

THURSDAYS
Soccer Club-Mr. Henrie
Students will participate in soccer skill development as well as, learning and understanding the rules of the sport. Skills taught and practiced include passing, dribbling, trapping, throw-ins, shooting, teamwork development, and small sided games.

Proud Performers Club- Mrs. Cassidy
Students will learn routines for performances throughout the year. Students will practice and preform these routines for the winter and spring productions!

Yoga Club- Mrs. Sherk
Students will practice mindfulness, learn different Yoga positions and various ways to calm their minds and their bodies in a fun and relaxing environment.
