We emphasize consistency and integrity in storytelling, which means that IC actions have IC consequences. Lore is also important to us, though we do allow bending in moderation. This free company focuses primarily on character development and storytelling.
The Ishino Distillery produces fine sake and serves as a front for the establishment's other dealings. Our primary goal is to provide a mature environment in which to build stories through roleplay and develop our characters further by doing so. If this application strikes you as too in-depth (or too much reading!), that may be a sign that we're not the best fit for your roleplay style.
Just as the Ishino Distillery focuses on the quality of its sake and company, we focus on the quality of our members.
Some basic information about our FC:
1. We are located on Balmung.
2. We operate out of the GMT-5/ET time zone, with many of our events occurring in the evening.
3. The Ishino Distillery serves as a front and a distraction from the actions of the Meishuya as an organization.
Our Roles:
Assistant - An OOC role for those who wish to put on events consistently, potentially contribute to the A Roll Reborn System, and help coordinate RP.
Accomplice - For those who wish to loosely tie themselves to the Meishuya, often doing a few things independently for the organization - this can be mercenary work, bookkeeping, a supplier of goods or other services, and so on. While it may be impossible to explore the depth of the place as an Accomplice, one can still gain and give in equal measure.
Upon acceptance, you are given two roles alongside the one you applied for:
Uninitated: Purely in-character, this role just signifies that you have yet to complete the Sake Initiation Ceremony held for new applicants! This is a fun IC way for new members to meet older ones, and vice-versa.
Trial: Purely out-of-character, this role shows that you are in a
two-week trial period wherein we evaluate your fit with the Free Company. After this point, we'll either speak with you to clarify any potential problems, or remove the trial role. We do this to maintain our standard for both IC and OOC behaviors!
Additionally, there are some minor stipulations that an Accomplice operates under, if accepted:
1. While events are generally open for Accomplices, there may be cases where they are not - marked clearly in event postings.
2. Certain FC rooms may not be accessible to Accomplices, given the secretive nature of them.
