About the event:
This annual one-day meeting provides an opportunity for networking and expressing views on the future direction of astrobiology research in the UK. The meeting this year will have a theme of space instrumentation, to provide the community with an insight into the life cycle of instrument development, from proposal to delivery. A morning session will give participants the chance to introduce their research in a quick-fire presentation round, followed by talks on instrumentation. The afternoon session will involve an instrument proposal workshop and discussions.
MSSL is in a remote part of the Surrey countryside, so transport on the day will be provided to and from Guildford Station (30-minute drive from the site). Preliminary times for pick up and drop-off will be 9:00 and 18:00. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
Building Habitable Worlds is generously supported by the Astrobiology Society of Britain and the UK Centre for Astrobiology, allowing registration for the event to be free of charge.
