Congress has proposed over $880 billion in devastating cuts to the health and human services threatening coverage to almost 14 million people nationwide, including approximately 500,000 Washingtonians and food assistance for nearly 11 million across the US including 149,000 Washingtonians.
We invite organizations to join this organizational letter to the WA delegation calling for them to stand against cuts Medicaid, SNAP, and other essential safety net resources which more than 1 in 4 Washingtonians depend on. We stand in solidarity to oppose cruel cuts to essential services like:
- Apple Health/Medicaid
- Access to federal subsidies for health coverage
- SNAP
