Ventnor Fringe Festival 2019 Registration
Thank you for registering to perform at the 10th Ventnor Fringe! You'll be taking part in the island's largest gathering of creatives and a unique week of weird and wonderful happenings.

This form is for all main participant applications (whether ticketed or unticketed events) for the Ventnor Fringe 2019.

Please note, this form is NOT applicable for Free Fringe Applications (e.g buskers). Please use the separate form available soon to apply to take part in the Free Fringe

Before you start...

Make sure you’ve read through our Participant Guide which has lots of FAQ's and general advice for participants as well as a full list of our terms & conditions. By submitting an application you are accepting these terms and conditions.

1.) Once you have submitted your application form below and it has been approved a member of the team will be in touch to find out more details. This will normally be via a phone call.

2.) Based on your requirements Ventnor Fringe will make you an offer of a venue/ slots. You will be given the option of two different financial deals.

> 90% Box Office split in your favour with a higher minimum fee
> 70% Box Office Split in your favour with a lower minimum fee

The minimum fee is the cost that the Ventnor Fringe will deduct from your ticket sales to cover all venue hire, technician fees and box office costs. There is NO upfront hire costs for you to pay and all of the remaining ticket income is yours to keep.

However it is important that you understand before applying that you can end up owing the festival money if you do not sell enough tickets to meet this cost.

Here is an example of an offer...

90% B/O split in your favour VS minimum fee of £450
70% B/O split in your favour VS minimum fee of £300.

You will be asked to choose which offer you prefer.

3.) Once you have agreed a venue and slots you will be sent a contract and invoiced for the registration fee. This is the only other cost you will pay to the festival and pays for your listing in the main printed programme (15,000 circulation). This fee will not be more than £60.

4.) At this point you will need to send promotional material and start to advertise your show. The Ventnor Fringe will help to promote you but we strongly advise your own efforts as well. A selection of resources and guidance on how to promote your show is available in the Participants Guidance section of our site.

5.) Tickets will be sold via the festival website over the phone and in person from Ventnor Exchange. There are no booking fees on any tickets sold, this is included in your venue offer.

6. ) Payment will be made to artists by BACS or cheque within six weeks of the festival ending; though in most cases payment is made within three weeks. After the festival you will receive a sales summary for each of your events included with your settlement payment. This report will indicate the box office split as agreed in your contract.

All application and venue costs are non-refundable. In the event that you cancel your event the Ventnor Fringe reserves the right to claim all monies owed as agreed in your contract.
