This year’s program will welcome two cohorts. The "Build" class is tailored to those having
little to no experience in or around the Capitol; the "Beyond" class
is designed for those with some experience and is ideal for those looking to
make a change or refresh their mentorship perspective. We take great care in
pairing our mentee applications with the right mentor based on the mentees
professional background, goals and needs.
While we are fortunate to have many interested and qualified
mentors, the personalized nature of our pairings means that only some
interested mentors will be matched. We hope you understand and encourage you to
remain in our mentor pool. Opportunities may arise should a mentee need to be
re-assigned or as the program grows. Furthermore, your expertise could be
sought for content development throughout the program, even if you are not
paired with a mentee this year.
Our mentorship roster comprises a mix of long-term staff
members, lobbyists and several elected officials. To successfully fulfill the
program, participants are expected to engage in at least one monthly meeting
for a minimum of 30 minutes. Additionally, participants should plan to attend a
kickoff party, end of year party and a mid-year mentee gathering.
Pairings are made and announced in November of each year.
Thank you for supporting Pink Granite. Please email amy@pinkgranite.org if you have any
questions regarding this interest form or your status as a potential mentor.
