The regular deadline to apply for the law school division of the Sonia & Celina Sotomayor Judicial Internship Program ("SCS JIP" or the "Program") is December 31, 2025. Applications received after December 31, 2025 will be considered at the Program's discretion.

The Program runs for 8-10 weeks on a full-time basis during the summer. Specific scheduling is at the discretion of the judge/chambers. We anticipate that all or most aspects of the internship will be held in-person, and applicants should plan to be physically present in the New York City area (including Westchester County or Long Island, depending on the location of chambers) for the duration of the internship.

2. Writing Sample (no more than 10 pages);
3. Personal Statement (Justice Sotomayor has said, "[L]awyers have a professional and moral duty to represent the underrepresented in our society, to ensure that justice exists for all, both legal and economic justice.” In 500 words or less, please explain what this quote means to you and why.); and
4. Letter of Recommendation (OPTIONAL - 2 letters maximum)*
