https://bit.ly/2H5dVofThe following volunteer opportunities are available on a limited basis:
1) ACTion: The best way to get involved with our agency as a teen is through our student activism group, ACTion (Advocacy Center Teens). This group is a learning collective dedicated to fighting sexual and relationship violence in and beyond Tompkins County. Sexual and relationship abuse impacts everyone. Creating respect and consent-based cultures will take all of us working together! ACTion members focus on a variety of educational and engagement-based efforts. Individuals of all gender identities are encouraged to join.
2) Volunteer Projects: Opportunities to work on projects (whether those are one-time, recurring, short-term, and/or long-term projects) are available for dedicated teens who are comfortable completing tasks independently.
3) Special Events: Help us with special events such as Take Back the Night, teen dating violence awareness month events (February), & sexual assault awareness month events (April). Please note that volunteer opportunities with special events at this time are limited due to COVID-19 restricting our ability to host in-person gatherings. However, there may be ways you can assist with virtual events!
4) Fundraisers: Our agency needs funds in order to sustain our services for survivors and the community at large. You may be interested in organizing a fundraiser and/or donation drive for us.
