Home Stretch is a Black Impact Collaborative (BIC) program where students are paired with pre-screened adult monitors who will virtually work one-on-one with families to help the student finish each marking period strong. The sessions are one-hour a week and scheduled Monday - Friday at a time that's convenient for each family and their monitor. Each student will receive a personalize plan to assist in achieving their academic goals. Parents can sign their student up for 1 or all 4 sessions, that run 7-weeks and coincide with the 4 marking periods of their academic school year. The program is for Kindergarten - 9th grade students.

The BIC ran a pilot program of Home Stretch at the end of the 2021 school year and launched a full school-year program 2021-22 school year. The program was created in response to the stressors families were facing during the height of COVID. Our program participants encouraged us to continue the program through the upcoming school year. We were quite pleased with the outcomes of the pilot and based on survey results, so were our families. In fact, 100% of respondents reported improvements in grades! Additionally, 100% of respondents noted they would refer this program to others. It is our hope that you and your child will experience the same outcomes.

The Home Stretch program starts soon after the start of school, the week of September 12, 2022. Families can register for all four cohorts or select them as the year progress. Families can select in-person or virtual sessions to meet their family's needs.
