All vendors must fill out, e-sign, and submit this application before attending the New Bedford Farmer’s Market.

The Market Managers will review your application and determine your eligibility to attend the market.

If you are selling food items (excluding fruits, vegetables, maple syrup, and honey) the Health Department requires you to apply for a Farmers Market Food Permit. A $50 fee is due at the time of the application - the application must be submitted to: New Bedford Department of Public Health at 1213 Purchase St. New Bedford MA 02740 or 508.991.6199

Please call the New Bedford Health Department - (508) 991-6199 if you need more assistance on submitting the Farmers Market Food Permit application.
VENDOR FEES
All fees shall be paid by CHECK ONLY. Paying fees prior to the season will save you money. Otherwise, fees are due DAY OF THE MARKET. Fees may also be mailed to: Coastal Foodshed 466 Brock Ave. New Bedford, MA 02744

GENERAL LIABILITY INSURANCE
All vendors participating in our markets must carry General Liability Insurance in the amount of $1M.

Ability to accept SNAP/EBT, HIP, Debit & Credit.
The New Bedford Farmers Market accepts SNAP and Debit/Credit Cards. The Market Manager operates the token system and assists vendors with disbursement and reimbursements.

Vendors are paid on a bi-weekly basis and transaction costs are covered by the Market.

All vendors of the New Bedford Farmers Markets are required to participate in the SNAP and Debit/Credit Token System.

You will receive a copy of this and be asked to sign at your first market attended.
