EaP Plus: Needs assessment Survey for training technology managers in the Eastern Partnership countries
This survey is being conducted as part of the STI International Cooperation Network for Eastern Partnership Countries – Plus (EaP Plus) project. This project has received funding from the European Commission’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation programme.

In this respect, the EaP Plus project is organising a 3-day training session in Minsk, Belarus in February 2019 to cover different aspects of technology management.

The training aims to involve technology managers from all EaP countries. Experts with distinguished competencies in the topic will be invited from across the European Union (EU).

The survey questionnaire as provided below, aims to assess the main needs of technology managers in the EaP countries. The results of this questionnaire will not only be used to tailor the topics of the training agenda, but also to allocate the respective speaker-session time slots based on the degree of interest indicated by the questionnaire respondents.

There are three sections in the questionnaire.

Section A: Status of Technology Transfer and Management

Section B: Scope of Improvement - training topics of interest

Section C: Expectations from the Training

Your responses will be kept confidential within the consortium and the questionnaire will take no more than 10 minutes of your time.

Who are Technology Managers?
Technology transfer managers or technology managers, by definition are the catalysts involved in supporting the transfer of technology with a view to help up-scaling the commercialisation aspect of new/novel scientific solutions or technologies developed by an individual/organisation. Experience has shown that the Technology Transfer Offices in EaP countries are new or in-existent in Public Research Organisations (PROs). Therefore, there is a need to enhance the discipline of technology transfer and management in these countries.
