When putting a DVD on reserve, you are asking for a 4 hour closed reserve that will be available for your students to watch in the library. Once the DVD is on reserve, you will get an email saying that it is available for your students. Once the DVD is available, your students can check out the DVD at the circulation desk.
Please check the library catalog for availability of the DVD prior to making a DVD reserve request. If the DVD is not in the library collection, please allow for a week to order the requested DVD. If you are putting a personal DVD on reserve, please bring to the Media Resource Librarian's office (Samantha Leonard), on the first floor in the Media Lab in Smith Library. Please allow us two days to process your DVD request.
Instead of putting a DVD on reserve for your class, you could also look into High Point University streaming options. High Point University can put many movies online through Swank Digital Campus (http://www.swank.com/digitalcampus/index.html). You can also check out High Point University streaming subscriptions and free streaming resources by going to: http://library.highpoint.edu/media.html
Please email email@example.com or call 336-841-9462 with any questions or concerns about putting a DVD on reserve for a class.
