Settlement of Account:
As a Consignor I agree to offer quality items priced at approximately 25%-30% of retail price. I will decide which, if any, items will be included in the half-price sale. I understand that I will receive a minimum 60% of my total actual sales. I understand that I will pay a participation fee of $12.00 which will be deducted from my settlement check.I agree that by participating in Drop & Go, $16 will be deducted for the Drop & Go service.
Terms of Guarantee:
Rhea Lana's of The High Desert will guarantee items actually received (versus items entered into the
consignment database but not checked into the store). Rhea Lana's of The High Desert will guarantee either
1) the return of each unsold item which has not been earmarked for donation; or 2) payment for each unsold item which has not been returned and has not been earmarked for donation. This guarantee does not apply to items which have been marked for donation by the consignor or items that have been brought during Drop and Go. This guarantee does not apply to any items for which bar codes were printed or applied outside of the Rhea Lana's of The High Desert store. This guarantee shall not apply to any loss resulting from a natural disaster, fire, flood, tornado, storm hurricane, or other Acts of God. Payments made under this guarantee shall be made at 60% of the price the item was offered for sale. Payments made under this guarantee shall be made only after a thorough search for the item has been made. If items not belonging to Consignor are accidentally provided to Consignor with Consignor's returned items, Consignor agrees to return these items to Rhea Lana's of The High Desert immediately. Item guarantee does not apply to consignors who participate in Drop and Go.
Liability for Recalled Items:
Rhea Lana's of The High Desert is aware and supportive of the efforts of the Consumer Protection Safety Commission to remove recalled items from the resale industry. Rhea Lana's of The High Desert has a digital database on recalled products available in the store. These binders are available for Consignor review. Consignor agrees not to consign any unsafe or recalled items. Rhea Lana's of The High Desert shall not be liable for the sale of unsafe or recalled items which are offered for sale by Consignor. Consignor shall defend and indemnify Rhea Lana's of The High Desert in the event of any claim or liability arising from Consignor's sale of an unsafe or recalled item at a Rhea Lana's of The High Desert event.
Donated Items
Rhea Lana's of The High Desert is not a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Consignor shall not receive a donation receipt. Consignor has the choice of picking up their unsold items during the designated pick-up hours or leaving their items behind. If you wish to make a tax deductible donation of your items, DO NOT select the option to donate your unsold items on the Rhea Lana's of The High Desert website. Items left behind after the event has concluded must be removed from the event location immediately and shall be the property of the individual owner of Rhea Lana's of The High Desert and shall be handled at the sole discretion of the owner of Rhea Lana's of The High Desert. By selecting “Donate” for any item in my online Rhea Lana's of The High Desert account, I acknowledge that this items will not be made available to me during the designated pick up hours, will not be subject to the Guarantee (described above), and such items will be under the sole control and possession of the owner of Rhea Lana's of The High Desert.
Settlement checks will be emailed to every consignor, you may directly deposit if your bank allows, or you may print and deposit at your bank. All checks are cashable at any JW Chase Banking Location for a small fee.
