Imposter Syndrome - You are NOT alone.
Impostor Syndrome

Impostor syndrome is a psychological pattern where individuals doubt their abilities, accomplishments, or talents and have a persistent fear of being exposed as a “fraud."

Despite evidence of their competence and achievements, people experiencing impostor syndrome believe that they are not as capable as others perceive them to be and attribute their success to luck, timing, or deception rather than their own skills or effort.

Coping Strategies
  1. Acknowledge your feelings.  Recognize and accept feelings of self-doubt without letting them define you.

  2. Focus on facts.  Keep a record of your accomplishments and positive feedback to remind yourself of your capabilities.

  3. Talk about it.  Sharing your feelings with trusted friends, mentors, ora a therapist can provide perspective and support.

  4. Celebrate your achievements.  Take time to celebrate your successes, no matter how small. This will help you build up your confidence and acknowledge your efforts.

  5. Reframe negative thoughts.  Challenge and reframe negative self-talk by replacing it with more positive, realistic affirmations.
