KFTC members interested in Powershift 2013
We are excited to support 10 KFTC members to participate in the upcoming Powershift conference in Pittsburgh, October 18-21. We are working closely with the Kentucky Student Environmental Coalition to support their goal of recruiting a total of 500 Kentuckians to attend this important event. So, even if we aren't able to send you as part of KFTC's official delegation, we'll do our best to connect you with information about buses, registration and low-cost housing. All members are welcome to apply. We'll give special consideration to people under 30 years old and people living in eastern Kentucky or other communities in the state that are affected by mining and burning fossil fuels. Questions? Why do you want to participate in Powershift 2013
Can you contribute some portion of your expenses?
We expect that registration, food, transportation and lodging will cost KFTC around $375 per person. If it's possible for you to make a contribution towards some of those costs, we may be able to support more than 10 participants. Please let us know an amount you could afford to contribute. Thanks!
