The San Francisco Trans March is a Volunteer Organization. Join our 2016 team and help make this years event a success!
This years volunteering opportunities will be split into 10 categories. Please read their descriptions carefully and fill out all the possible shifts you would be able to attend.
Categories:
1. Initial Booth & Barricade Setup
Volunteers will assist in the setup of the multiple booths and barricades on Dolores Park used on day of Trans March. Requires heavy liftings.
2. Parking Monitors
Parking monitor volunteers will coordinate make sure are park in the correct parking zones as well as providing the necessary placards for event parking.
3. Backstage Security
Backstage security volunteers will assist in verifying proper entrance to backstage booths and performances.
4. Trans March Booths
Trans March booth volunteers will assist in helping to run one of the multiple tables.
Merchandise Table
These volunteer will help out with selling of merchandise.
Information Booths
These volunteers will be in charge of checking-in volunteers and press as well as provide general information of the march to bystanders.
5. Bucket Donation Crew
Bucket donation crew volunteers will assist in the recollection of donations through the crowd as well as providing merchandise for certain donation quantities.
6. End of March Event
End of March volunteers will be in charge of setup and breakdown of barricades for our end of march event street closure, displaying event signage, preparing the area for the the marchers to arrive. Note End of March volunteers would not be able to participate on the moving sections of the march.
7. Photographers
We are looking for photographers that can volunteer in helping us capture incredible pictures of the Trans March event. We also require all photographers to receive consent when taking pictures
8. Dolores Park Safety Monitor
Park Safety Volunteers will monitor the safety of our event space at Dolores Park by walking around the event and reporting any anomaly against our code of conduct. All Park Safety Volunteers are required to assist to a safety training provide by Trans March.
9. March Safety Monitor
This Safety Crew works under the direction of a Safety Captain to supports the marchers by holding the line to its designated route, wheel monitoring, safety at intersections, and human chain formations that support all EMS needs. All March Safety Monitors are required to assist to a safety training provide by Trans March.
10. Teardown:
Volunteers will help with teardown and cleanup of Dolores Park. Requires heavy liftings. Note volunteers who participate of teardown will not be able to participate of the actual march event.
*Training for 2017 Safety Monitors is Mandatory.

All volunteers will be provided with a Trans March t-shirt and will be invited to participate in our volunteer orientation.
