Climate change is and will impact the peoples, lands and resources of indigenous communities. This presentation will provide an overview of climate change impacts and vulnerabilities of tribes in the United States. It will draw on the findings from the draft 2013 National Climate Assessment’s (NCA) chapter on tribes, Impacts of Climate Change on Tribal, Indigenous, and Native Lands and Resources. The draft 2013 NCA has been going through the review process and is available at: http://ncadac.globalchange.gov/; the final report is expected to be available by early 2014.
