Thank you for volunteering to help us save our beloved library.  There are several volunteer opportunities available.  Please let us know what works best for you!
Collect Signatures at a Table
Tabling means sitting at a high-traffic area (often with a small table) to talk to people and ask for their signatures.  Locations can include one of the libraries, the Senior Center, soccer games, grocery stores.  Be creative and find locations you think will be fruitful.

Canvassing
Canvassing means knocking on doors of likely supporters and asking for their signature.  We use a very simple phone app to provide the names and addresses and training so you can easily collect signatures on your own schedule (in your own neighborhood, if you like).

Walking at Community Events
We need several teams that will walk around community events with a sign and petitions to gather signatures.  Events such as Surf City Nights on Tuesdays are great opportunities to engage citizens and get signatures.

Help with Paperwork and Signature Verification
Not interested in tabling or canvassing?  No problem, you can help behind the scenes verifying signatures, numbering petitions, counting signatures, etc.

Help Plan Events
Various events for volunteers to pick-up/drop=off petitions, mix and mingle with other volunteers and training events will be held at various locations throughout the City. Help plan these fun events and get the word out!
