Awesöme Orchestra Session 104: Peer Gynt Suite Extravaganza!
* Musician sign-ups are open until March 25

**NOTE: Due to the complicated and unique nature of this event, there will be multiple factors taken into consideration when Ambassadors are assigning their sections. It is not merely first-come, first served. Thank you for understanding.

Ambassadors will build section rosters based on the preferences you share in this signup form and confirm section assignments by April 1**
WHERE: Uptown Body & Fender, 401 26th St, Oakland, CA 94612 
This session will he held inside the body shop!

WHEN:  Saturday, April 5, 2025 from 2-5pm

ADMISSION: Free and open to all ages. Capacity for the venue is 300 people (musicians + audience).

TRANSPORTATION SUGGESTIONS: This venue is very accessible via public transportation. 19th St. BART is a 10 minute walk away, as are numerous AC Transit lines. ORCHESTRA INSTRUMENTATION:

2 flutes, 1 piccolo, 2 oboes, 2 clarinets (A or B-flat), 2 bassoons, 4 horns (E or F), 2 trumpets (E or B-flat), 3 trombones, 1 tuba, timpani, 2 percussion (bass drum, cymbals, triangle), strings

BIG BAND INSTRUMENTATION: 

1 clarinet, 2 alto saxophones, 2 tenor saxophones, 1 baritone saxophone, 4 trumpets, 4 trombones, drum set, 1 keyboard, 1 electric guitar, 1 double bass

Be sure to sign up before the deadline on Tuesday, March 25.  You can expect an email from your Awesöme Ambassadors with specific info by April 1 EOD  (check your spam filters if this is your first session). If you are signing up after April 1, you might not get your Ambassador email until after April 3. Please be patient—they have a lot of information to collect before emailing everyone. Ambassadors will reach out to you separately about the Big Band portions of this session. This could be for either your primary or secondary instrument (selected later in the form). The pieces are orchestrated for the following: 1 clarinet, 1 bass clarinet, 2 alto saxes, 2 tenor saxes, 1 bari sax, 4 trumpets, 4 trombones, 1 guitar, 1 drum set, 1 piano, 1 double bass.

Please note that there be an optional though strongly encouraged rehearsal in advance for the big band on Tuesday April 1 from 7-9pm at 2945 Bolivar Dr. in Berkeley.
