NGP 2018 Preview Application
Complete the following application for consideration of participation in the University of Michigan's Neuroscience Graduate Program's (NGP) Preview Visit . Expenses will be covered for students who attend.This is NOT a graduate admission application to the University of Michigan Neuroscience Graduate Program.

Please submit all Preview application materials by February 15, 2018.

NOTE: Since this application does not allow you to save and complete at a later date, we recommend you take a look at the pdf version (located here: so you know the materials you will need to have ready in advance. In summary, you will need to provide a research statement, personal statement, recent CV or resume, and unofficial transcript(s) in addition to the responses on this form.

Eligibility Requirements
* US Citizen or Permanent Resident
* Have an academic background in science/engineering
* Plan to pursue a Ph.D. in the biomedical sciences
* Plan to apply to graduate school for Fall 2019 or Fall 2020 admission
* Contribute to our diverse student body by one or more of the following:
-come from an educational, cultural, or geographic background that is underrepresented
-have demonstrated commitment to diversity in the academic, professional, or civic realm
-have experienced financial hardship as a result of family economic circumstances
-first-generation U.S. citizen or first generation in family to graduate from a 4 year college

Additionally, strong candidates will possess the following:
* Research experience in a laboratory setting
* Strong academic record and motivation to pursue neuroscience research

Letter of Recommendation
We request one letter of recommendation from a faculty member. The recommendation form (located here: and the letter must be emailed directly from the recommender to with the applicant name in the subject line. The letter needs to be received by February 15, 2018 for your application to be considered complete.
