Thanks for your interest in presenting a session to RI Teen Institute (TI) participants, who are high school-aged youth of various backgrounds from all around Rhode Island.
At TI, presentations given to all participants and staff are referred to as general sessions. We estimate 65 people in attendance, and can confirm this number on the Monday of TI. Sessions typically last 45-60 minutes and engage participants in discussion, as opposed to being strictly a lecture.
TI nurtures skill sets of peer leaders. Sessions should be grounded in topics like: individual and community advocacy, decision-making, interpersonal and leadership skill development, and/or choices for a healthy lifestyle. Upon graduation from RITI, youth are offered opportunities to join existing programs focused on health and prevention issues.
Sessions take place between Monday, April 20, 2026 and Thursday, April 23, 2026, (time TBD) at Camp JORI in Wakefield, RI.
Please tell us about the session you are proposing.
