2024 Two Rivers Camp Counselor & Staff Application

Two Rivers Camp in Turlock California hosted by Mar Addai Parish Assyrian Church of the East selects college students, graduates, or adults of any age who are interested in working with young people in a STEM empowered summer camp setting. Most applicants have a background in education, recreation, psychology, science, engineering, mathematics and related areas or have previous summer camp experience; however, we also hire many counselors without previous experience.

If you are looking for summer work that involves working with children in a fun educational setting, then camp counseling at Two Rivers Camp would be a great job for you. Camp counseling is also great work to list on a resume; many employers and educational systems view it as extremely positive experience because it demonstrates the development of a high level of positive and leadership character traits.


2024 schedule for counselors/staff will be as follows:

  • Staff Zoom one a month in May and June depending on availability

  • Monday July 15 (Mandatory Staff Training)

  • Monday July 22 – Thursday July 25 - 8:15am to 2:30pm

  • Monday July 29 - Thursday Aug 1 - 8:15am to 2:30pm

  • Friday Aug 2th (Staff final meeting and clean up)

Scholarships available for students:  Students have the opportunity to earn scholarships based on several criteria including education level, previous experience, special certifications and must be committed for 2 full weeks. Most earn from $300 to $500 for 2 weeks. Not available for part time or 1 week commitments.  

Compensation: Counselors and staff that are not students will have the opportunity to receive a compensation based on several criteria including education level, previous experience, special certifications and must be committed for 2 full weeks. Most earn from $300 to $500 for 2 weeks. Not available for part time or 1 week commitments.
