SJSU School of Social Work Instructor Interest Form (last updated 3-9-2025)
Thank you for your interest in teaching with us at San Jose State University's School of Social Work. Please note the details below:

* Our BASW and MSW programs are fully-accredited by CSWE and growing. Although we are looking for instructors for all areas of interest, open teaching slots vary considerably depending on budget, number of instructors in the pool, and instructor availability. Prospective teachers can increase chances of hire when their availability, teaching expertise, and openness to mode (online and in-person) are flexible.

* Current SJSU Lecturers - (current lecturer or taught within the year):

Please complete this form to share your updated interests and teaching availability.

* Prospective SJSU Lecturers (new to the SJSU system) - Two Parts:

       (1) Please complete this form so that we will have your information available when we have instructional needs. Also submit your CV and cover letter to Dr. Peter Allen Lee.

       (2) As teaching needs arise, you will be contacted by someone from our administrative team to complete the SJSU application process run by the university.

You might find the process somewhat involved in applying for a teaching position. SJSU is implementing these procedures to help facilitate the overall hiring process; thank you for your support.

If your circumstances change, please feel free to update your responses or complete a new form.  Please direct any questions to Dr. Peter Allen Lee at peter.a.lee@sjsu.edu.

*** IMPORTANT *** For Summer and Fall 2025 courses, the School will be holding all "on-campus program" BASW and MSW courses in-person, and usual Online/Hybrid MSW Program courses online.

Please indicate your availability to teach online and/or in-person with this situation in-mind.
