It's Shark-A-Thon Time!
As you know, it takes a lot of volunteers and money to run a successful summer swim season. So we're working hard to make that happen!
Our annual "fun"draiser is a fun summer swim party for the kids! We're depending on each swimmer to raise $35, but it would be great if they were able to raise more. Shark-A-Thon is a critical fundraiser that allows us to provide an exceptional experience for each family. Past years funds have been utilized for the new timing system and scoreboard capabilities, as well as investing in experienced coaches to help develop our swimmers of all skill sets.
We want to build on last year's format and continue to boost team camaraderie and help our smallest and/or newest swimmers acclimate to the team. Each swimmer will be working with other team members (we will pair kids), to swim at least 50 laps. The team that swim's the most laps will receive special prizes!
We'd like to see every member there regardless of their fundraising capabilities. Please consider joining us, if you're able.
This year's theme is an “A Magnum PI Party”; think luau with a twist! We 'll have lots of Hawaiian photo-ops, so wear your Hawaiian shirts and shades. We've got mustaches for everyone!
