Operation Zero is run by the Patriot's Path Council in New Jersey and priority is given to in-council scouts first. We are hoping there is space left over for us to join them. This is a bit of a long shot but based on past Troop 291 experience - it's well worth the gamble. Information about Operation Zero can be found at
https://ppcbsa.org/camping/operation-zeroThis sign-up is to gauge serious interest within Troop 291 and Crew 2828. The actual registration and payment will happen through the Patriot's Path Council website at midnight on Halloween. Space fills up quickly and we want to have our group ready to pounce when the window opens. We will use this list of hopeful participants to keep everyone informed.
The registration fee is $185 and due at sign-up Oct. 31/Nov. 1. When we know how many will be participating we can determine our travel cost per person (including 2 hotel nights), probably in the range of $300-400.
Please sign up only if the scout will by 14 by the time of the trip, is willing to miss a day of school for travel, and has committed February 16 - 20 to this trip. Although we do not have a hard limit at this point, it is unlikely more than 20 scouts will be able to attend.
