Climate Action: A Conversation on Climate Justice in Southeast Queens

On Thursday, October 10, join Queens Memory at Cambria Heights Library for a conversation on climate justice, flooding, and housing in Southeast Queens. The event will include a topical panel discussion guided by climate researchers and local residents followed by a moderated Q&A. Come ready to share stories about how flooding and the changing climate affect your life.

The Queens Memory Project is a community-led archive, managed by QPL and Queens College, that documents contemporary life in the borough through personal stories, photographs and oral history. Queens Memory is currently producing the fourth season of its podcast, which will focus on the borough’s changing climate and water issues.

This event will be recorded and archived. Portions of the audio may be used for the podcast.

Refreshments will be served at 5:30pm. The panel discussion and Q&A will last from 6 to 7:15pm.
