Thank you for your interest in an internship at the North Florida Wildlife Center! Interning here is a meaningful way to stay active, give back, and connect with wildlife and nature.
This opportunity typically requires a commitment of 10 hours per week over a period of at least 12 weeks. Interns should be comfortable working outdoors for extended periods, assisting with physical tasks, and supporting daily operations.
Intern shifts are divided into two five-hour blocks: 7am–12pm and 12pm–5pm. You may complete your weekly hours in a single day or across multiple days. A consistent weekly schedule is expected unless otherwise discussed.
We understand that not everyone can meet this exact schedule. If you’re highly interested and feel you would be a strong fit, we encourage you to apply or reach out to discuss potential opportunities.
Interns support a wide range of work at the Wildlife Center, including animal care, diet preparation, habitat maintenance, guest engagement, educational experiences, and other supportive activities.
