Events and Crash
Hej Everyone! We’d love to show you a good time while you’re here, in the city we love. You should know that registering at the Lund IV 2014 entitles you to free entrance to the various Lund IV 2014 Week events! You are very welcome to arrive early (we will arrange crash for you should you need it  but this is a first come first serve basis as crash is limited and we will priortise those coming from abroad!) and to stay a bit longer if you’d like. You just have to let us know by filling in this Events and Crash form. Please note that it will be difficult for us to accommodate you on these events if you don’t send this form back to us by November 1.

Do you need crash before and after the Lund IV (Dec 5-7)? *
Please indicate for which dates do you need crash and for how many people. Please be reminded that crash is limited so this request is granted on a first come first serve basis and international participants (not from Sweden) are prioritised.
How many of your members intend to attend the Debate Cafe on Dec 2, 1800-2100? *
The Debate Cafe is one of the Lund Debate Society’s signature events. Every week on Tuesday, we provide public debating platform wherein members of the student population and the general public engage in a debate on an issue critical to our community. We’re going to invite some guests to debate in this debate café as it kicks off the Lund IV 2014 Week!
How many of your members intend to join the Lund Walking Tours on Dec 3, 1400-1600? *
Lund is one of Europe’s oldest universities and is ranked in the top 100 universities of the world. Get a personal guided tour by a resident, see some of its cultural highlights and hear some ghost stories along the way: the Domkyrkan, Skissarna Museum, Kulturen, Saluhallen, etc. By this time, it will be winter in Sweden which means it will be cold. But as the Swedes say, ‘Det finns inget dåligt väder, bara dåligt kläder!’ roughly translated as there’s no such thing as bad weather, there’s only bad clothes!
How many of your members intend to attend the Nordic Debate Council Meeting on Dec 4, 1600-1800? *
at 1600-1800, we are hosting a Nordic Debate Council Meeting at the Geocentrum 1, building, for debaters, judges and organizations from our region. We will send out an agenda as the meeting approaches but if you are interested in attending, let us know. Please also send in items you would like to see in the agenda on Dec 2, at the latest. We have a facebook event created for that so please do let us know if you are attending or in need of an invitation.
How many of your members intend to attend the Thursday Training Sessions on Dec 4, 1800-1930? *

How many of your members intend to attend the Tradition Swedish Pre-pea Party on Dec 4, 2000-0200? *
We are hosting what we are calling the Traditional Swedish Pre-Pea Party (not what you are thinking) at Emilia’s. It’s a custom in Sweden to serve pea soup on Thursdays and so we are serving this for people who would like to hang out with us on Thursdays. We have a facebook event for this so check it out on the Lund IV page.

We have high calibre judges and debaters coming to the Lund IV so we are offering workshops on Friday afternoon at the hotel. One of our confirmed workshop speakers is Peer Klussendorf (European ESL Debate Champion 2013, Worlds Finalist). The workshops are not mandatory but we highly recommend it.
