For four years now, the Old Jail Farmers Market has been a volunteer-led, community-centric farmers market in Canton, MS. Every Thursday in June and July from 4-7 p.m., on the grounds of the historic Old Jail, you'll find local farmers, bakers, artisans, and more selling fresh, locally grown and produced, ag-centric goods to our community. For two years in a row, the market has been designated by the MS State Dept. of Ag and Commerce as a Mississippi Certified Farmers Market, meaning the criteria for this status have been met and upheld by the market. Our goal is to be a market accessible to everyone, whether they're backyard or multi-acre farmers, young entrepreneurial bakers, or seasoned jelly and pickle-makers. For that reason, we charge vendors only $10 to sell for the whole summer.
Each year we reach out to our local businesses to ask if they'll consider supporting this community market with financial sponsorship. The sponsorship funds are used prudently for marketing materials, purchasing durable items such as yard games, tables, drink coolers, etc. for weekly operations, training fees for volunteers to attend workshops to maintain a quality market, and to hold special events at markets to attract customers and support our vendors.
As a sponsor, your logo will be featured on all printed and online marketing materials. A banner with all sponsors is displayed at the farmers market promotional table each week, and you are welcome to come and set up any Thursday at the market to share your services and business offerings with the community!
Please consider filling out the following application to financially sponsor the Old Jail Farmers Market for the 2025 summer season. We appreciate our sponsors!
