The Charlotte Chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) will be holding our annual "A Walk For Education" (AWFE) during early March 2026, leading up to our 2026 STEM Fair on March 29th, 2026 at the Ivory Baker Recreation Center.

In order to reach 300+ students during these event, we are looking for volunteers for the following roles:

A Walk for Education (AWFE) - March 7th, 2026 and March 14th, 2026

50+ volunteers for group neighborhood walks through the Park at Oaklawn Apartments and surrounding neighborhood, Greenville:

March 7th ~ 9:30 AM - 12 PM (noon) : Door Hanger Campaign - We will need volunteers to assist with a morning door-to-door delivery of door hangers to the community - these hangers contain information that communicate upcoming AWFE "Grab Bag" delivery the following weekend (March 15th), as well as the upcoming STEM Fair on March 28th. Meeting point in the morning will be the Ivory Baker Recreation Center.

STEM Fair - Saturday, March 28th, 2026 - 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM

STEM Fair Volunteer: ~25 volunteers to supervise on-site activities held at the Ivory Baker Recreation Center and assist with event logistics.
Volunteers will be able to assist with morning registration and check-in; assisting in small roles with student competitions and student support; ongoing support for vendors during the event, passing out lunches; set-up and clean-up of event, etc.
