Those selected for the Teen Arts Council will commit to nine months on the Council (September to May), including attending twice-monthly meetings and planning and conducting special events at the museum. Each member will enjoy a complimentary student membership and gain a behind the scenes understanding of how museums operate. The program will enhance students’ foundational knowledge of art history and museum work through workshops, lectures and discussions with staff and scholars.
Applicants must be high school students enrolled for the 2013-2014 school year. Applications are accepted based on a variety of components, including writing abilities, completeness of application and/or outstanding teacher recommendations. Applications are due May 31, 2013.
