The Lakshmi Mittal and Family South Asia Institute (LMSAI) at Harvard University, in collaboration with the American Centre New Delhi, is hosting an arts exhibition, titled, "Interwoven Ecosystems: Art, Well-being and the Environment" from August 3 - 10, 2024. This exhibition will feature the works of Dhara Mehrotra and Paribartana Mohanty, alumni of LMSAI's Visiting Artist Fellowship (VAF) program, a unique opportunity for mid-career visual artists from around South Asia to spend eight weeks on the Harvard campus serving as a catalyst
for artistic growth and cultural exchange.
This exhibition aims to highlight the intrinsic link between environmental and human well-being, illustrating how ecological degradation directly impacts our health and quality of life. Through the compelling visual narratives crafted by Mehrotra and Mohanty, the exhibit seeks to foster a deeper understanding and sense of urgency in addressing environmental challenges. Ultimately, it advocates for holistic approaches to ensure a healthier planet and populace.
