It is with great regret that we have had to cancel the Oxford coach for Saturday's march against austerity and racism. The short notice call of the demonstration presented challenges to find subsidy that we have been unable to overcome. We had hoped to get £200 from a local union branch but the meeting where the decision could have been taken was moved until after the march. The potential fares from bookings aren't enough on their own to make the coach viable without being hundreds of pounds out of pocket.
We can only apologise and urge you to use public transport to get to the march on Saturday. Some people will be meeting at Gloucester Green bus station to get the 10am Oxford Tube to London.
Assembly for the march is 12pm, BBC HQ, Portland Place, London W1A 1AA. The nearest tube station is Oxford Circus, follwed by Regents Park and Goodge Street.
