The conversation will be based primarily on the new book by David Hamburg Give Peace a Chance: Preventing Mass Violence, with Senator Richard Lugar as interlocutor. These two distinguished Americans have worked together for many years and share a deep interest in early prevention of conflict, vividly illustrated in the origins of the Nunn-Lugar Program for Cooperative Threat Reduction. Other aspects of risk reduction will also be discussed.
