This is where to sign up to be a helm or a crew in the Safety Fleet for the Main and Regatta Fleets. The helm will need to be an experienced RIB helm with a minimum of an RYA Power Boat Level 2 certificate and VHF Licence. In addition, it is desirable for the helm to have an RYA Safety Boat certificate. It is also desirable for RIB crew to hold RYA Powerboat and/or Safety Boat certificates and VHF Licence.

Please note that registering your availability does not guarantee a place on the Safety Fleet. Places will be allocated based on the number of spaces available and the demand. If demand exceeds the spaces available allocation will be at the discretion of the Safety Officer. The Safety Officer may also allocate you to different role/fleet than you have requested to ensure the safety of the fleet. Details of the safety fleet will be published one week prior to any event.
