Autistic Inclusion in Religious Environments - For Autistic Individuals
PLEASE NOTE: By answering the questions on this anonymous survey, you agree and acknowledge to any or all data collected in this form to be used in religious studies research and presentations. Continue reading below for details about how this data will be used and handled.
My name is Amy. I’m an autistic adult completing a master’s degree in religious studies. Currently, I am conducting research on autism inclusion in religious environments. The goal is to learn how having autism impacts inclusion in a religious community, and what adjustments can be made to make them more inclusive. In November 2018, Toronto hosted the Parliament of the World’s Religions—the world’s largest gathering of people from a plurality of religions and countries. I presented preliminary research there.
My goal is to have a variety of religions traditions and backgrounds represented. You do not need to still be a religiously active person to contribute, only to speak on your experiences in a religious community.
How I will use your contributions:
-I will not share any personally identifiable information from your responses.
- You don't have to share any information you would rather not. I encourage you, though, to share as much as you feel comfortable providing--to help me understand context better. Ultimately, though, your privacy is of utmost importance.
