Nambé Mill House Artist Residency
The Mill House artist residency aims to provide space and support for emerging artists to realize creative goals, develop new or ongoing projects, and engage new audiences with your practice. This is a short term residency opportunity with a maximum stay of two months in a private room of the historic Nambé Mill House with access to common areas and a communal art studio for a rate of $65/week. We look forward to receiving proposals that aim to integrate a deeper sense of place, narrative, creativity, and stewardship for our communities to engage with.

Surrounded by a rich history of Spanish and Native cultures, Nambé Mill House is located along Pojoaque creek bordering the Nambé and Pojoaque Pueblos of Northern New Mexico. Guests have access to the the main house including an open kitchen and living area, an art studio and outdoor work shed that also function as performance and event spaces, gardens, and river access. Currently inhabited by four female working artists, the Mill House serves as a creative refuge that welcomes a breadth of projects and events.

Upon acceptance of your application you will receive an invitation to come to the table with the women of the the Mill House to further discuss how we may collectively design your residency experience to fully integrate your practice and vision with our mission. We look forward to hearing from you!
