Run for the Refuge Volunteer Sign Up
Thank you for your interest in helping with the 21st Annual Run for the Refuge! Below are the many activities that we need help with. Sign up for one, two, or a bunch! THANK YOU!
Race day is Sunday, July 16th and both races (5k / 10k) begin at 1:00 p.m.
I would like to volunteer to help with:
BEFORE: Marking the course (Afternoon or evening on Saturday, July 15)
BEFORE: Race Set Up (Help set up the finish line, snack tables, registration tables, etc before the race, 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.)
DURING: Water station (Help runners and walkers stay hydrated during the race, 12:30 - 2:30 p.m.)
DURING: Race-day Registration table (Help runners register for the race, 11:30 - 1:15 p.m.)
DURING: Race-day Registration bib and race packet pick up (Hand out race-day registration packages to runners, 11:30 a.m. - 1:15 p.m.)
DURING: Pre-Registration bib and race packet pick up (Hand out registration packages to pre-registered runners 11:30 a.m. - 1:15 p.m.)
DURING: Timers (Collect runner times and bib numbers, race day, 12:45 - 2:30 p.m.)
DURING: Wrangler (Ensure that the runners remain in the same order after they have passed the finish line, race day, 12:45 - 2:30 p.m.)
DURING: Bib Tag Ripper (rips the tags off of the bibs and hands them to the bib spindler 1 - 2:30)
DURING: Bib Spindler (DURING: Collect and "spindle" the bib tags after runners have crossed the finish line, race day 1:00 - 2:30 p.m.)
DURING: Be the Polar Bear! (Help bring energy to the event by wearing our polar bear costume!, during event 12:00 - 2:30 p.m.)
AFTER: Race Clean Up (Help clean up the finish line, snack tables, registration tables, etc, after the event, 2:00 - 4:00 p.m.)
AFTER: Course Tear down (Take down the course markers, after the event, 3:00 p.m.)
