Appalachian Community Capital Grant Application

The Appalachian Community Capital (ACC) Grant provides child care center owners in the ARC Distressed Counties with funding for new playground equipment.  

Program Details and Requirements:

This program is a 50% grant and 50% low interest loan.  You must be willing to take the loan portion of this program to be eligible for participation.   

Loan Terms: 3 months no payments, no interest.  Amortized over 3 years.  Interest rate: 4%

If selected, you will be provided with a simple loan application that will not require collateral or a credit check.

Each childcare center is eligible for up to $10,000 in playground equipment, $5,000 in the form of a grant, and $5,000 in the form of a loan.  

You must be willing to participate in the Kentucky SBDC Childcare Initiative.  There is no cost involved.  You must be willing to participate and respond to requests for quotes and information needed for reporting requirements. 

Funding is limited.  Applications will be accepted through October 30, 2025.
