As the Securitisation of Health Group grows and prepares for a strong year of continuing resistance to the Prevent Duty and campaigning for an end to the duty in the NHS - we will be facilitating two training sessions for group members in the first few months of this year.
The first training session will be co-facilitated with Medact's Movement Organiser Kate Bernard, and cover 'Organising-centered campaigning and 1-1 conversations'. This is scheduled for Saturday 24th February, 10.30am-4pm, at Medact's London Office (Bethnal Green).
The second training session will be co-facilitated with Medact's Communications Manager TJ Chuah, and is a 'Spokesperson training', exploring helpful approaches and skills for strong campaign comms - from writing articles and responding to media and press requests, to developing key messages and practical interview skills. This is scheduled for Saturday 20th April, 10.30am-2pm at Medact's London Office (Bethnal Green).
We hope for these training sessions to be an opportunity for members to meet and build connections in person. Though if you're unable to attend either day, please also indicate your interest in participating in sections of training held in a complementary online space!
