This is a FREE one-day conference during Women’s Herstory Month that explores several themes including:
* Women's Empowerment through Solidarity
* Examination of Intersectionality (race, class, gender, sexuality, ability, etc.)
* Challenging Dominant Narratives and Systems
9 am: Registration
9:30 am - 11 am: Session I
11:15 - 12:45 pm: Session II
12:45 pm - 1:45 pm: Lunch (Registration to the conference includes lunch from Round Table Pizza. Please contact Jessica Castellon at email@example.com for any alternative dietary options or feel free to add these in the "other" section of this form).
2 pm - 3:30 pm: Session III
3:45 pm - 5:30: Closing Session

About the Play: Winner of the 2004 New York Drama Critics Circle and the Outer Critics Circle Awards, Intimate Apparel tells the poignant story of an African American woman in 1900’s New York City seeking to make her fortune as a seamstress while struggling to define her own identity, tradition and role in society in an era when the cut and color of one’s dress and skin determined whom one could marry, sleep with, and talk to in public.
