About the Leaders of Tomorrow® (LOT®) Program – Atlanta Chapter

Since its inception in 1991, the NBMBAA® Leaders of Tomorrow® Program has mentored over 8,000 high school students Program combines virtual, face-to-face, and event-based experiential learning, providing students with a well-rounded experience that prepares them for success. Covering essential topics such as STEM, leadership, career readiness, and financial literacy, participants engage in interactive workshops and networking opportunities with industry leaders, building confidence and meaningful connections. Our mission is clear: to help LOT® students secure spots in top colleges while preparing them for successful careers in business and beyond. By investing in their journeys, we amplify NBMBAA®’s impact on career advancement and education, equipping the next generation of leaders to navigate the complexities of the modern world and create lasting change in their communities.

The Atlanta Chapter introduced the following Career Communities in 2023 to our Leaders:

STEAM - Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics; added applied sciences and space place

GLEN - Government, Law, Education, Non-profit

BUSINESS - Finance consulting, Entrepreneurship, Marketing/PR

  • The primary focus is to expose our youth to various career opportunities post high school.  These include college and non-traditional pathways.
  • LOT® is a college prep program; however, we understand that our Leaders have multiple options after graduation including a 2-year college, trade school, certification courses, military service, and entering the workforce. We offer alternative options for our leaders to ensure they are successful post-high school.
  • Exposure and opportunity are integral to our mission.  Summer jobs, internships, interviewing, and resume tips are all included.

The Atlanta Chapter delivers monthly programming, events, and hands-on experiences to help students thrive in college, career, and life.
